LLSA is the title of a slightly different version of those beloved ‘Monthly Favorites’ blog posts that you can find all over the internet. I personally don’t see the value in sharing tons of animal tested beauty products and clothes that many bloggers proudly present their audience. I want to share with you what I LOVED, LEARNED, what I want to SHARE and what I have ACHIEVED in the past month. So let’s get going!
What I loved
I loved that we have over 20°C most days here in Athens now. Spring is one of my favorite months, since it’s whether too hot not too cold. People start going out again, you can go for long relaxing walks and witness how nature comes “back to life” again. Especially reading outside makes me happy those days.
What I learned…
is something that is actually not that new to me. I learned this lesson a few times already in my life: whatever lies before you – no matter how big and unconquerable it might seem in the first place – you’ll get over it someday. It will just happen. Naturally.
I’m referring to writing my bachelor thesis here. The past two months were filled with research, writing and working on my project. Having a bachelor’s degree means nothing to me now and it really is not that hard as it seems as a freshman. But nevertheless it was like a huge mountain standing between me and my future. I walked towards it, someday it started getting a bit steeper, I finally started climbing and then I conquered it – just like that.
What I want to share
I’ve attended the Zeitgeist Day (ZDay) Main Event in Athens on March 26, 2016. There were two talks that stood out to me the most. The first one was of Perry Gruber, founder of Copiosis.
“Copiosis is a socioeconomic system that provides each person with high quality food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthcare at no cost. People producing these things are well rewarded. Luxuries – anything beyond basic needs – require you to accumulate what we call net-benefit reward by benefiting people or the Earth. We expect to eliminate money, government, corporations, and most crime. What do we replace these with? A vibrant, free-trade socioeconomic system in which you can legitimately pursue your creative dreams in a prosperous, generous, safer, vibrant better world.”1
It was the first time I’ve ever heard of Copiosis. I was already familiar with the Venus Project and I have always thought that a resource based economy is – in my opinion – the only way we could ever have a future here on earth, but what stood out the most to me in his talk was their Transition Plan. You always hear about how this resourced based economy might look like, what kind of houses we would live in, how everyone would just get everything they need and it would be heaven on earth, but what about making it actually happen?
Perry Gruber introduced their “practical, implementable transition plan for moving humanity to a state where Copiosis is the dominant economic system worldwide. (…) [Their] transition plan has been tested and used successfully by every single successful innovator and market change agent.”2
If you’re interested in this kind of topic or if you never heard of it and you’re just fed up with our current monetary system that is the source of most crime, greed and all the disturbing imbalance in this world, check out their website and social links. You can also watch this 6 minute introduction video.
The second talk that stood out to me was given by Abby Martin and she instantly made me fall in love with her (and her voice to be honest). Abby Martin is an American journalist and artist. She is the presenter of The Empire Files, former host of Breaking the Set and founder of Media Roots.
It’s just incredible what she does. I especially enjoyed listening to Abby Martin on the Joe Rogan Experience. She has been five times on the show so far. You can listen to the episodes here:

What I achieved
I finally had time to work on my own blog and to start posting content again. That’s not one of the biggest achievements in human history, but something that was very important to me. I can finally share what truly interests me and hopefully I can inspire some people out there with my words and thoughts on topics that matter the most to me.
If you experienced something epic, learned a great lesson or if you just want to share something that’s just too good not to be shared with the world, please do so in the comments and spread the good vibes ♥
