April is almost over and again I feel like the year just flies by. Time to write down what I LOVED, LEARNED, what I want to SHARE and what I have ACHIEVED in the past month.
What I loved
I loved interacting with a lot of different people on the internet this month and connecting with fellow vegans all over the globe. I especially enjoyed taking part in #veganhour on Twitter and getting to know other people who are as passionate about veganism as I am.
It’s also amazing how much effort all the vegan activists on YouTube put into making their educational videos for other non-vegan YouTubers like Blogilates, Superwoman, Melanie Murphy, Ingrid Nilsen or Sunbeamjess. Here are a view recent videos that are definitely worth watching:

What I learned
I always thought I’m a good person. For people around me, I always try to make life as convenient as possible. I try to understand them, help them, listen to them and I don’t want to stand in anyone’s way. I want harmony, because that’s how life should be lived.
I remember that I was extremely proud of myself when I was a little kid. I thought: “I’m a good human being. I’m not as certain classmates that treat me badly from time to time. I’m kind and I’m good and I think everybody should be like that.”
Over the years and especially this month I was faced with some situations where I thought I might not be as “good” as I always thought. Whatever is “good” to me, does not necessarily mean that it’s also good for others. I just assume it is and that can cause a lot of harm. I obviously don’t want that, so I have to learn to listen better and think more before talking or taking action.
What I want to share
I basically share Erin Janus’ content whenever she posts a new video on her YouTube channel. Everything she does is absolutely amazing. Her videos are incredibly well edited, educational and powerful at the same time. Check out her newest one about “Humane slaughter”.
What I achieved
I finally finished several books this month. I wouldn’t say that that’s a great achievement, but for me it feels amazing. As a real book lover, it’s very disappointing when I just cannot get myself to find books that interest me a lot, let alone not being able to finish them. So I can at least cross that off my imaginary list of things I have to continue doing again.
Reading is such a pleasure. Especially when the weather is great and you can read outside in the sun. Right now I’m listening – not reading – Chris Hadfield’s book “An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth”. It’s very good so far, but I did expect nothing less from this amazing person.
