This month was busy! I started my YouTube channel, edited hours and hours of video material, translated more than 30.000 words for various customers, tried to maintain a blog and still had some free time to draw and just relax. So this May was a perfect mix of relaxation and “getting shit done”. How much I love that.
What I loved
I’m not that big of a fan of working out. May it be a fast pace cardio workout or lifting weights, I did my best over the last few years to move my butt almost every single day but I still cannot say that I like it.
Last week though my boyfriend and I finally purchased a cheap set of badminton rackets. We went out to the park and just played for hours, sweating a lot and still having fun outside in this nice weather. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I cannot wait to do it again all summer long.
That’s a great example that you just have to find that one thing that brings you joy and you can really do and achieve anything that you want!
What I learned
Being greedy is just never a good idea. You’ll eventually end up having less than what you had before if greed is your moving power. Compared to others, I might not have a lot – I’m obviously talking about my material possessions here – but it’s still so much more than others can only dream of. So be thankful and humble and you’ll soon be the happiest person on earth.
What I want to share
Yes, I mentioned it several times already: I love That Vegan Couple! This month they shared a video that is aimed at non-vegans that happen to have a family member or friend who became vegan and don’t really understand what the heck is going on.
So this video might be for you! Just take 8 minutes of your time and invest them in something really useful and who knows, maybe you might change your mind about this really important matter.
Also, we watched the documentary Planetary by Guy Reid that is not only beautifully shot, but also has an important message everyone should hear.
What I achieved
As I already mentioned in the introduction: I achieved to finally go for it again and start my YouTube channel. Almost a year ago I already tried to do exactly that, but I ended up not really liking what I put up on my channel. What I do now is much more my cup of tea and at the same time, waaaay more work than before. Take a look:
The extra work is definitely worth it, but at the same time I’ll not be able to post as frequently as other people. For now, I’ll just keep on going and try to do my best with every single video I post. If you want to follow me on that journey you can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.
